Oh my...

I knew today would be emotional but wow...

We had the going away party for our nine transferred staff members.

There were a lot of tears and laughter as a fellow staff members talked about each and every one of our friends.
Our school is a small one with only about 325-380 students each school year.
This year we have one full time Kindergarten, one half time Kindergarten, two 1st grades, three 2nd/3rd grade blends, three 4th/5th grade blends and leaving us this year our two Special Ed classes.
Everybody knows everybody. And these wonderful ladies will be greatly missed.

Here are pictures of the table decorations and podium.

This special event was a joint effort pulling together all the necessary elements to make this party the success it was.
Our LOTO crew always thinks of these wonderful themes and great ideas of what would be fun to go along with them. They also chose thoughtful, personalized gifts for each one of our parting friends.
Guest speakers were asks to share their stories and adventures with each one focusing on one of their fellow co-workers.
One co-worker made the cupcakes and one made the Oscar cookies to go on top for our honorees.
She made yummy star shaped cookies for the rest of us. Lovingly wrapping each one in case we wanted ours to go and to make them pretty of course.
Everyone brought wonderful food to share.
And our school nurse once again shared her wonderful home for us to enjoy each other's company.
*LOTO (Ladies Of The Office)

I was able to hold it together mostly because I was the event photographer BUT on the way home I cried like a baby. I will miss not only these wonder ladies but also their special students. I think I'm still in a little bit of denial and it probably won't truly hit me until I do not see them in the fall. Their empty classrooms will be constant reminders of the void their departure will put in our school community. And I will really, really miss the hugs and interactions with their very special kiddos.

Here are the projects I've been working on for them.
My own little work of love.
I made nine of them total but four made the best piture design.

*Sign/card base 12 x12.
*Star cut at 10.75 in. using the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge and Recollections glitter paper.
*Circle cut at 3.5 in. using the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge and Recollections card stock.
*Small star cut at 2.5 in. using the Cricut Craft Room Basics cartridge and Recollections glitter paper.
*Names were welded together and cut at 1 in. using the Cricut Craft Room and the Cricut Billionaire cartridge.
*Signature backs were cut at 11.75 x 11.75 in.

May your day always be filled with love.
